Statistics: Russia’s palm oil imports fall 7% on year in Jan-Jun
MOSCOW, Aug 22 (PRIME) -- Russian palm oil imports decreased 7% on the year to 381,000 tonnes in January-June, the Federal State Statistics Service said in a statement on Tuesday.
In June, imports dropped 6.4% on the month and grew 25.7% on the year to 55,800 tonnes.
Imports of coconut, palm kernel and babassu butter grew 9.5% on the year to 42,600 tonnes in January-June and increased 42% on the year and 10.2% on the month to 7,500 tonnes in June.
Imports of sunflower, safflower and cotton oil jumped 550% on the year to 9,000 tonnes in January-June, 560% on the year and 70% on the month to 2,500 tonnes in June.
